Bathed in the sun on the South/Southwest side of Mount Etna, at 850 meters above sea level in Contrada Cavaliere, in the territory of Santa Maria di Licodia, Travaglianti estate cultivates native red grape varieties of Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio, and white grape varieties of Carricante and Catarratto.

With both bush-trained and trellised vines, the grapevines are cultivated without the use of irrigation, entirely in an organic manner, and without the use of pesticides or herbicides. All vineyard operations, from pruning to harvesting, are carried out by hand, in full respect of the land and the ancient traditions of the area. The best grapes are hand-selected, giving life to Travaglianti Etna DOC wines.
