We are at the foot of Mount Gorna, a small ancient volcanic cone on the southeastern side of Etna. Etna Barrus wines are born here, in this patch of land, at an altitude of 600 meters. That is why they taste like the sea and fire.
We cultivate only native grapes, Nerello Mascalese and Nerello Cappuccio, according to the sapling and espalier system.
The soil’s volcanic composition is unique and gives our wines unmistakable scents.
